Jailer

Jailer is a Village role. It is commonly featured in Coco's Epic Setup. The mafia variant of this role is the Interrogator.

Jailer
• If no lynching, chooses one target at the end of the day. • Sided with the village.

Abilities

• If no lynching, chooses one target at the end of the day.
• Target will be visited by the Jailer and jailed at night.
• The target will be immune to night actions (except driving).
• The target cannot do any action except write a will.
• The Jailer and the target can converse at night.
• The Jailer's identity is not revealed to the target.
• The Jailer can choose to kill the jailed person. Counts as a visit which can be role blocked.
• Sided with the village.

Mechanics

• Jailer can be jailed by the Interrogator.
• If a forced nl (two people vote a person and 2 other people vote a different person), it won't count.
• When Tracker visits the person jailed, they'll see somebody visiting undefined, it's Jailer,Interrogator or Amnesiac ending their empty meeting.
• Jailer can use as much executes as they want.
• Killing the Bomb kills you too.

Strategies

• If you jail a Doctor and they reveal their role, DON'T REVEAL YOUR NAME.
• If there is a unhit Bulletproof, execute them to prove their innocence. They can survive executes, so don't worry about that.
• Revealing yourself to your jailed target isn't a good idea since they actually be a mafia in disguise. If you do, make sure there are roles that can protect you.
• Don't reveal who you're gonna jail. Since your jailed target isn't immune to being driven, never reveal who you will.
• If your partner is converted, they will disappear from your meeting. If there is a Yakuza, drop everything and jail your former partner, they will always be mafia.
• Always reveal a code to your jailed person. If you become the center of being lynched, say the code word. Depending on how they trust the town role, they might not lynch you anymore.
  • Jailing a Celebrity is a good choice since you have a revealed town that can say the code word and possibly get the whole bandwagon on you off.
  • Another good choice is a revealed target that Oracle revealed, and they happen to be town-aligned.
    • Let's say an investigative role reveals.
      • A role like Cop reveals their report, the town should nl so Jailer can get their role. Jailer can whisper to Cop without revealing their identity.
